A torrent is a small file that allows users to download the larger files that it is linked to using the BitTorrent peer-to-peer sharing protocol.
To download from torrent files you have to use a BitTorrent client which is a software that can access the peer-to-peer network where the files associated with the torrent are being shared.
Torrent speed is often a big concern since files on a shared network can reduce download speeds to a crawl. However there are many ways that you can speed up torrent downloads.
1. Install a fast BitTorrent client.
Some BitTorrent clients that are recommended by PC Mag and other review websites include Deluge, uTorrent and Vuze. (We Recommend - Utorrent).
2. Download torrents with healthy seeders and a large number of peers.
So what exactly Peer Computers and Seeders are?
Peer computers download and upload the torrent files simultaneously while seeders are the computers that have already downloaded the whole file and are now distributing the file to other computers. Of course, downloading a torrent from more computers gives you a faster torrent speed.
3. Change the port settings.
BitTorrent shares files using different port numbers and if 1 port becomes too busy you should try switching to another. You may want to try using a port number that is higher than 10,000 since these ports are usually less busy.
4. Add trackers to your current torrent.
>> How it works :
Simple. Just copy/paste the list of public trackers into your torrent’s tracker list.
>> Now Applying the trackers to uTorrent :
➢ In particular, this is a ‘µTorrent-compatible’ list, so that’s where I’ll show the example.
Open µTorrent, and right-click on the suspiciously-slow torrent. Select ”Properties….
NOTE :-
Be certain that there’s a blank space (line) between each tracker in the list. Click ”OK” to save the changes. No need to restart uTorrent; if the torrent is already ’started’ (ie - active), it will automatically update and thus look for the new trackers.
