Before learning "how to change logon screen manually in Windows" first we should learn something about 'logon screens'..??
A Logon Screen (also called Login Screen) is a Welcome Screen that appears when you start your Computer [ just after the Boot Screen ] and by entering in Username & Password you will get required access to a computer system.
You can change your Windows logon Screen by various methods such as:
1- Hands On Approach 2- By Using Customization Softwares 3- By Hacking .Dll Files
Here, We will take a look at 1st approach.. Because it has more advantages compared to other methods available such as-
Steps required for doing it manually are -
1- Open 'Regedit' with the help of Windows Run menu [by typing in Win + R]
2- Simply Navigate to the following location :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background
3- Create a New Dword Value named ' OEMBackground ' & set it's value to 1
4- Exit Regedit, Go to the following location: C:\Windows\System32\oobe.
5- Create a new folder named "info" .
6- Again Create a new folder named "Backgrounds" within the folder "info".
7- Copy your Desired Wallpaper into the "Backgrounds" folder & rename it to as BackgroundDefault
[ IMPORTANT NOTE- Image size must be less than 256 kb and the image format must be .jpeg]
That's it. ツ This should work now you can press Win+L key (lock) for previewing it.
