How to change Icon of any Drive manually

  In this post we are going to learn how to change the icon of a particular drive [C: D: E: etc] using a small autorun script file.
You might have tried changing a drive icon once using Right click >> Properties. But failed to do so, because there is no such option available in Windows. [ Am i right..?? ]


[NOTE :- There must be an icon file present  (extension .ico) which will be used as an image for the particular drive. ]

steps :-

1. Open any text editor such as notepad.

2. Write:-

                            [Autorun]                                     

                          Icon=icon file.ico  

3. Save the File as AutoRun.inf.

4. Place the saved file and the icon file into any Drive.
